One day Belitsoft received a request to synchronize the webshop of the American children’s apparel company RuffleButts, made on Magento, and their CRM system which was SugarCRM. Magento-SugarCRM bridge was developed to synchronize the data between web stores built on Magento and popular customer relationship management system SugarCRM.
Magento platform gives a possibility to run multi-level web stores with large numbers of products and customers. SugarCRM is an open-source system that is widely used by businessmen for customer management and support services enhancement, sales and marketing automation.
To connect these two systems and make it possible to synchronize data used in both systems it was decided to develop a bridge between them. In order to combine the power of Magento e-Commerce platform with the functionality of SugarCRM system, we developed the Magento-SugarCRM synchronization bridge. With this solution, the Client is able to connect his Magento webshop site with SugarCRM and synchronize shop users and purchases with customers, cases, and opportunities in CRM system.
The main requirement of this implementation was to optimize swift growth of the wholesaler's network and the sales managers’ work. So the Magento-SugarCRM bridge by MagePlace turned to be a perfectly suitable solution.
Synchronization can be set up by simple mapping of the fields in Magento and SugarCRM so all information the Client need will be transferred to the CRM database in a way he wants it.
This extension had to connect two systems allowing synchronization in both directions from Magento to SugarCRM and vice versa. The advantage of this solution is that changes made within Magento are pulled into Sugar and if they are provided in Sugar they are reflected in Magento. We followed all the customer’s needs and set up this Magento extension with some changes required.
