Our Client is an Independent Software Vendor based in Israel (R&D) and the US with about 300 employees. They provide a robust BI solution for Digital Employee Experience Management, bringing together a set of real-time metrics across the company’s SaaS applications.
It's a network performance monitoring solution to tackle the performance issues that arise when running virtual machines on a network, including slow broadband speed, limited compute power, and high latency affecting application performance. The solution involves deploying AI-powered agents on a person's computer that continuously monitor application and device performance. These agents can detect issues and provide automated or manual technical suggestions for resolution. The company offers support for both remote users and physical endpoints, including Citrix Virtual Apps, VMware Horizon, Microsoft RDS and WVD.
Among their clients are more than 1,200 enterprises, among them Daimler, ExxonMobil, Verizon, T-Mobile, and many other giants.
Belitsoft provides IT staff augmentation services and has built for the Client a team of 16 highly skilled professionals, including .NET developers, QA automation, and manual software testing engineers.
When the business decision-makers contacted Belitsoft, the company already had its game-changing product developed by thoroughly selected in-house developers. The product was bringing profit steadily, and the company leaders were planning to enhance the product gradually and patiently.
The situation has changed drastically in 2020. The company experienced rapid 10x growth in sales upon the Covid outbreak as the entire employment market changed, with everyone adopting the hybrid model. In order to enable organizations to operate remotely, they required solutions that could permit employees to work using all the necessary tools at home and at the same time minimize the complexity of remote work management for top management.
The success of the business resonated across the USA and Israel. On its way to Unicorn status, they raised $100M.
$100M Funding Accompanied by Huge Expectations and Demands Pressing
Investment always brings significant responsibilities, as investors want their money to work and bring profit, so they always have high expectations and require a lot in a short term.
The business stakeholders realized that, following the fund round, the development team should expand its workforce by 40% in one year to fulfill all the expectations and fill investors’ pockets.
Urgent Need to Recruit a Stellar Team in a Short Term
A highly-performing, well-structured team of top-level frontend and .NET developers, QA and manual testing specialists with years of hands-on experience in complex projects - that´s who the Independent Software Vendor was searching to enhance their core product and take the leadership in the niche of Digital Employee Experience Management for years.
However, recruiting the entire team in Israel was both expensive and puzzling due to the limitations of the local market.
In addition, the business stakeholders knew that outsourcing can be a viable solution to augment the development team fast with competent specialists. So they decided to give it a shot.
The First Bitter Experience of Outsourcing
The company hired offshore developers and started to perform. The first problems were revealed soon when the offshore developers started to change frequently, leading to a never-ending onboarding process.
As the Client has a truly complex project that requires serious expertise and domain knowledge, such an approach both decreases the delivery quality and time waste.
